Good News: Over 25 States in Legal Opposition of Real ID Act

One Federalized ID going down: here, and here.

Other like measures are sure to rear their ugly heads.

Vigilance in a day of Statism (both Republican and Democrat.)

just to let you know - real id has pretty much been canned, but it's been replaced by something with a different name : "the pass act" and it's every bit as evil...
what are your thoughts?

I'll look into the Pass Act. We are evermore becoming a command-control society, so it wouldn't surprise me if the Pass Act is has everything we hate about the Real ID Act and more.

It doesn't matter which party is in power, the personal space around the individual is shrinking/has shrunk very fast.

You are right, it is not the name of the program/card that matters. That is why so many of these laws may not mean anything - it is what card does, not what it is called:

If these laws don't outlaw what REAL ID would do, then they really don't do much. As an analogy, if you don't want your kid to drive an automobile, you don't ban him from driving cars, or even chevrolets. Otherwise, they can drive a Ford truck just fine. REAL ID is dead, now called PASS ID and Enhanced Drivers Licenses (EDLs). If you think EDLs are just for 'border states', well think again:
